This is an illustration for the short story "Drawing Flies" by Mark Tullius which will appear in Black Ink Horror #1 [link]

I used a bit of a loose style in this piece to get a surreal atmosphere, which made it not as brooding as the illustration for "To Feed an Army".

Thank you very much for your comment and :+fav:!

I had a bit of a difficult time with this drawing strangely enough, and it took me awhile to upload it on DA because I kept delaying(it was completed last year!) The images of flies on decaying flesh just kept popping up in my head. :eyepopping:

I like this drawing very much!! :rose:  :)
Nice work. Don't ask me why but I could have sworn I've seen this piece before. Did you repost this or am I getting dillussional again?? :D
Thank you very much! And no, you're not delusional; I think this is the first time I posted this on DA, but it could also be on the BIH forum. I still have to take a peek at the gallery over there. :)

Nicely done, your techniques throughout the piece gently bring it all together despite their scratchy nature. And I'm not sure why, but I swear the man was wearing a shirt with no pants when I first saw this. :)
That could be it...yes, good call. Thanks...but I still have a feeling that the other dillusions are still under my bed, and the bunnies are in the windows again...LOL!!
Nicely done, but it is kind of creepy!!!
